Description:
Assists surgeons and anesthesiologist and coordinates flow of equipment, supplies and staff during a surgical procedure. Assures patient safety throughout the perioperative phase of care. Participates in patient care planning, assessment and nursing treatment. This position is represented by CNA.
Requirements:
Day/Evening, 5 x 8s, M - F 0600 to 2030. Schedule and start times rotate. ACLS, BLS, PALS required. Ortho, Neuro, and Trauma experience required. 1 plus years of experience. Call is at least 1 night per week and 1 weekend per schedule. Potentially more based on need. Must have Epic experience.
Education and Work Experience:
- Associate Degree(A.S.) or equivalent: Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing: Preferred
- One year previous full time experience in the operating room: Required
Licenses/Certifications:
- Current RN license in state of practice: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS)?certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)?certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Preferred
- Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR): Preferred
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice: Required
Facility Specific License/Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
