Title: Registered Nurse – MS/Tele 
Location: Abilene, TX 79606
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day 3x12, 07:00–19:30

Requirements:

• 2 years of MS/Tele experience required.
• Prior travel experience required; may consider candidates individually.
• 1:5 patient ratio experience required.
• Charge Nurse experience preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required.
• Experience with Cardiac Telemetry, Telemetry, MS/Tele, PCU/Stepdown preferred.
• Strong experience with IV therapy, central/PICC lines, blood products, dysrhythmia management, cardiac monitoring, respiratory care, and CVA/TIA patients.
• Altera experience preferred, not required.

Description:

• 16-bed Med-Surg/Telemetry unit with an average daily census of 11 patients.
• Cares for adult and geriatric patients with primarily medical-surgical diagnoses.
• Accepts appropriate TIA/CVA and peripheral cath patients at a 1:5 ratio.
• Does not accept ACS/NSTEMI, cardiac-related elevated troponins, interventional cardiac cath, or patients requiring cardiac/insulin drips.
• Responsibilities include telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, rapid response/code team utilization, oxygen therapy, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, tracheostomy care, wound care, feeding tubes, renal failure, and hemodialysis management.
• Self-scheduling with 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.
• Float required between South and North campuses as needed
