Description
Position Type: Locum
Specialty: Physician - Surgery Cardiothoracic
Location: Flagstaff, AZ.
Shift: Day, Night; 7:00 AM–3:00 PM with scheduled and on-call coverage
Start Date: October 24, 2026
End Date: 13 weeks
Position Details: Support CT Surgery with 4 days of coverage per month, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM plus call from 3:00 PM–7:00 AM. Patients include 10–15 CVICU/step-down patients per day, plus 1–2 surgeries.
Patient Population: Adult/Geriatric
Setting: Acute Care Hospital
Responsibilities: Support CT Surgery, including CVICU/step-down patient care and surgical support.
Required Procedures: Temporary pacemaker removal, chest tube removal, IABP removal, A-line placement; proficient with EVH.
EMR System: Cerner
Support Staff: Surgeon
Days Per Month: 4 days per month, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM plus call
On-Call/Weekends: Scheduled + On Call required; 24-hour call and weeknight beeper call
