Description

Title: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Adult/Pediatric
Location: Odessa, TX 79761
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night 3x12, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM

Requirements:

2 years of RRT experience; RRT required (CRT not accepted)
Travel experience required
Trauma Level II experience required
BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS
Cerner experience preferred
Experience with adult Med-Surg, adult critical care, and general pediatrics
Strong experience with ventilator management, ABGs, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, intubation/extubation, tracheostomy care, suctioning, and weaning
Experience with neonatal/pediatric respiratory care preferred

Description:

Provide respiratory care across adult critical care, Med-Surg, ED, NICU, and pediatric populations.
Manage patients with ARDS, pneumonia, aspiration, trauma, COVID, cystic fibrosis, and respiratory distress.
Perform ABG collection/interpretation, ventilator management, airway management, nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy, pulmonary hygiene, and chest physiotherapy.
Manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation, including BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, IMV/SIMV, jet ventilation, and oscillatory ventilation.
Assist with intubation, extubation, bronchoscopy, high-risk deliveries, and tracheostomy management.
Facility supports approximately 270 daily patients and has 402 beds.
Float required; every other weekend coverage with 9 weekend shifts per contract
