Title: Registered Nurse – Operating Room
Location: Midland, TX 79701
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day 5x8, 06:30–15:00, Monday–Friday

Requirements:

• 2 years OR experience
• Travel experience not required if the candidate has the required skills
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required; PALS preferred
• Cerner experience preferred
• Experience in General OR, Orthopedics, Neuro, Trauma, and ENT required
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Strong experience with vascular, spine/neuro, general surgery, urology, robotics, ortho, and trauma procedures

Description:

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a 13-room General OR/Trauma setting with approximately 35–40 cases/day.
• Support General, Orthopedic, Neurological, Trauma, ENT, Vascular, Cardiovascular, Urology, Gynecology, Plastics, Ophthalmology, Thoracic, and Pediatric procedures.
• Experience with craniotomy, cervical/lumbar fusion, laminectomy/discectomy, VP shunt, aneurysm repair, vascular procedures, joint replacement, and trauma cases.
• Support robotic procedures, including Da Vinci Xi, Mako, Mazor, and specialty robotic cases.
• Perform infection control, specimen handling, universal time-out, urinary catheterization, peripheral IVs, blood product administration, cardiac monitoring, and laser/radiation safety.
• Care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Experience with malignant hyperthermia and emergency management required.
