Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night 3x12, 19:00–07:00

Requirements:

• 1+ year ICU experience; travel experience required
• Epic required
• Patient ratio 1:2
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; OCN preferred
• Level II Trauma experience preferred; Level I also preferred
• Strong ICU experience with ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, ABGs, arterial/central/PICC lines, blood products, CRRT, cardiac/vasoactive drips, continuous sedation/paralytics, and emergency medications
• Neuro experience preferred: EVD, ICP monitoring, stroke, TBI, post-craniotomy/neurosurgery, lumbar drains
• Cardiac experience preferred: CVP, Swan-Ganz, cardiac cath, sheath removal, dysrhythmia management, ECMO, epicardial pacing

Description:

• 16-bed ICU with approximately 13 daily census, caring for adult and geriatric patients.
• Patient population includes DKA/HHS, COPD, ARDS, respiratory failure, AKI/renal failure, sepsis/septic shock, MODS, post-cardiac arrest, stroke, and substance overdose.
• CRRT and chemotherapy administration are performed in the unit.
• Uses Epic EMR with specialized equipment including Prismaflex/Prismax CRRT, Masimo hemodynamic monitoring, and Spacelabs monitoring.
• Self-scheduling with 1:2 ratios on days, nights, and weekends.
• Float required to sister ICUs including SICU, CICU, and NSICU; ratio may increase to 1:3 when caring for a 1:1 specialty patient.
• No call required.
• Minimum 6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks.
• 28 orientation hours listed in unit details.
• 48 hours are not approved.
• Facility is a Short-Term Acute Care, Level II Trauma Center with 379 staffed beds.
