Description

EPIC experience required

Type of patients on the unit: Pediatric, Adult, Geriatric

Cases: Pain (injections/Kyphoplasty), ENT (ear tubes/tonsils/sinus/thyroid), Urology (cysto/TURP/PCNL/Lithotripsy/robotic sacrocolpopexy/partial kidneys), Gynecology (Total lap hysterectomy/ablations/lap gyn/D&C), Podiatry, General (chole/appy/hernias) and some Ortho (hip pinning/knee scope/shoulder scopes) **L&D is a separate so no C-sections/deliveries

SHIFT: DAYS - 6:30AM - 3PM

REQUIRED Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

BLS certification via AHA required
ACLS certification via AHA required
PALS certification via AHA required
CNOR Certification
RN License in state of LA or compact

Weekend Requirement: On-call

On Call Requirement: On call or lates 1-3 times per week and every 3rd to 4th weekend (Fri-Sunday)

Floating Requirement / Locations

Only needed in OR. Could be asked to float between St. Pats and Lake Area campuses

Nurse / Patient Ratio: 1:1

EMR Used: Epic

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.

Experience

1 year of experience in the OR Unit
