This Travel PACU RN opportunity in Billings, Montana offers a consistent 4x10 day-shift schedule, making it an excellent option for travelers who want a predictable workweek while exploring everything Montana has to offer.
You’ll join a professional clinical team and play an important role in caring for patients during the post-anesthesia recovery period, while building valuable experience in a fast-paced perioperative environment.
🏥 What You'll Be Doing
As a PACU Registered Nurse, you'll provide safe, compassionate, and comprehensive nursing care while helping patients recover following procedures and anesthesia.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions within your scope of practice.
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care.
- Continuously monitoring and evaluating patients' health status.
- Providing patient and family education and health counseling.
- Delivering supportive and restorative treatments designed to promote patient safety and well-being.
- Reviewing and monitoring treatment and therapy plans.
- Recognizing when patients require additional evaluation or treatment and making appropriate referrals.
- Collaborating with the healthcare team through consultation, delegation, supervision, and education.
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Following hospital, regulatory, and professional nursing standards.
- Utilizing available resources to support quality patient care.
- Supporting the organization's mission, vision, values, and service standards.
- Floating to other departments within your qualifications and scope of competency when needed.
- Participating in on-call coverage when required.
✅ What We're Looking For
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- ASN/Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
- Previous RN experience is preferred.
- Strong patient assessment, nursing care, communication, documentation, and clinical judgment skills.
- Ability to provide effective patient education and counseling.
- BLS – American Heart Association required.
- ACLS and PALS as required for the unit/service.
- Additional unit-appropriate certifications may be preferred.
