Neuroscience PCU Registered Nurse – Travel Assignment

We are seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse to join the 11 West Neuroscience PCU team. The RN will provide high-acuity nursing care to patients requiring progressive-care monitoring, with a strong focus on telemetry and neurological patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Neuroscience PCU setting.
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and recognize changes in clinical condition.
• Monitor patients using continuous telemetry.
• Interpret and identify cardiac dysrhythmias.
• Respond appropriately to cardiac emergencies and changes in patient condition.
• Assist with the management of dysrhythmias according to facility protocols and scope of practice.
• Communicate significant changes in patient status to physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Provide safe, evidence-based care to patients with neurological and other progressive-care conditions.
• Follow facility safety, infection-control, and patient-care standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
• Previous PCU/Progressive Care or comparable high-acuity experience.
• EPIC experience is mandatory — no exceptions.
• Strong telemetry and cardiac-monitoring skills.
• Ability to recognize, interpret, and respond to dysrhythmias.
• Neuroscience/Neuro experience preferred.
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate.
• Must be available to work every other weekend (EOW).
• Must work 2 holidays during the assignment as required by the contract.
