Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts
• Possible shifts:
• 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
• 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
• Must be available for any/all posted shifts
• No call
• Holiday coverage may be required.
• Must work posted schedule; no schedule accommodations
• 8 hours non-billable orientation
• Contract: 91 days/weeks as listed in the JD
• Rate: $49/hr

Responsibilities

• Prepare, mix, compound, and dispense medications.
• Handle hazardous and non-hazardous compounds.
• Control and manage medications/pharmaceuticals.
• Work with pharmacists, nurses, technicians, and other hospital departments.
• Work independently with limited direct pharmacist supervision.
• Use pharmacy/hospital computer systems and automation.
• Perform pharmacy calculations involving fractions, ratios, and decimals.
• Work with automated medication dispensing systems.
• Use equipment such as Alaris Smart Pump, DoseEdge, Simplify797, IV-room equipment, and laminar airflow hoods.
• May occasionally drive for medication deliveries.

Hard Requirements

• 3+ years Pharmacy Technician experience
• Retail pharmacy experience
• At least 6 months current or past inpatient hospital experience
• Hazardous + non-hazardous compounding experience
• PTCB/National Pharmacy Technician Certification
• Active Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician registration
• Ability to work independently
• Own vehicle
• Must be able to work the posted shifts

• BLS – AHA or American Red Cross
• 1 supervisory signed reference from the past 2 years
• Pharmacy Technician skills checklist, current through the last year
• Complete work history

• All RTO must be disclosed at submission

Hard Stops / Submission Concerns

• ❌ Lives within 50 miles of the facility
• ❌ No Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician registration
• ❌ No PTCB/national certification
• ❌ Less than 3 years pharmacy technician experience
• ❌ No retail pharmacy experience
• ❌ Less than 6 months inpatient hospital experience
• ❌ Cannot perform hazardous/non-hazardous compounding
• ❌ Cannot work the required posted schedule
• ❌ Missing required documentation
• ❌ More than 5 days RTO
• ❌ Scheduling requests made after submission/offer may result in the offer being rescinded
• ❌ No own vehicle
