Description

MUST pass EKG Exam at Orientation (Study Guide Available in Simplify Library)
Minimum one year ED experience required
Experience with conscious sedation required
EPIC experience preferred
Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; CPI/De-escalation training required;
PALS not required (adult ED); copy of nursing diploma required
Schedule:12-Hr Nights, 7:30p-8a; every other weekend/major holiday required

Unit Specific Details
Unit Size: 30 beds, 14 Fast Track beds; additional hallway beds as needed
Patient Population: Community ED; all ages and medical complaints; no trauma
Equipment/Skills: Alaris pumps, Panda warmers, Hamilton ventilators,
Autopulse, GlideScope, AmbuScope, ultrasound, EKG machine, bladder scanner, cast cutter
Support Staff: RT, PCTs, phlebotomy, ED techs, unit secretary; 1–2 triage nurses depending on patient flow;
charge nurse 24/7; MD on-site 24/7 with ACP support
