Description
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting. The RN will be responsible for assessing residents, administering medications, monitoring changes in condition, maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care facility.
- Assess residents' health conditions and monitor for changes in status.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
- Monitor residents for medication side effects and adverse reactions.
- Record vital signs, symptoms, and other relevant clinical information.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient/resident records and documentation.
- Communicate changes in resident condition to physicians and other members of the healthcare team.
- Assist with coordinating treatments, diagnostic testing, and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs/LVNs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide education and support to residents and their families regarding care plans and health conditions.
- Follow facility policies, infection-control procedures, and applicable nursing standards.
- Ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, and appropriate care.
Requirements:
- Active RN License in the applicable state.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
- Long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or similar experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
