CVOR Registered Nurse – 10H Days

Facility: UF Health Jacksonville
Unit: Operating Room – CVOR
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Shift: 07:00 AM–05:30 PM, 10-hour days
Assignment: 13 weeks
Start Dates: 10/26/2026 or 11/16/2026
Guaranteed Hours: Not specified
Radius Rule: 50 miles
Float: Required

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of CVOR RN experience
• Recent Cardiac/Open Heart experience documented in work history
• 2–3 years RN experience
• Prior travel experience
• Recent experience covering Cardiac, Neuro, Ortho/Trauma, and Vascular
• BLS
• Epic experience
• Active Florida RN or Compact RN license in submission file
• Willingness to work variable days, weekends, and call
• Flexibility to work in both scrub and circulate roles is strongly needed

Preferred Qualifications

• TNCC
• ACLS at time of submission
• Experience at an academic medical institution
• Level I Trauma Center experience
• Ability to both scrub and circulate

Schedule & Call

• Variable days; block scheduling is not guaranteed
• Call as needed, including weekends and holidays
• Flexibility is essential
• No RTO during the first 2 weeks
• Maximum 8 RTO days for the 13-week assignment

Clinical Experience

The ideal candidate can support:

• Cardiac/Open Heart
• Neuro
• Orthopedic trauma
• Vascular procedures
• Trauma cases
• Scrub and circulating responsibilities

Submission Requirements

• Resume must include facility type, EMR, and bed count
• No unexplained work-history gaps over 30 days
• At least 1 professional reference from within the past 12 months
• RTO submitted upfront
• Unit Manager interview required

Testing & Orientation

• Specialty competency exam required
• EKG exam required
• Minimum 80% EKG score
• All lethal rhythms must be identified correctly
• Remedial training required if EKG requirements are not met
• Review of cardiac rhythms before start is strongly recommended
