Job Breakdown – CVOR RN

Facility: UF Health Jacksonville
Unit: Operating Room – CVOR
Contract: 13 weeks
Start Options:

• 10/26/2026 – 01/23/2027
• 11/16/2026 – 02/13/2027

Schedule

• 10-hour days: 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Variable days
• Block scheduling is NOT guaranteed
• Call as needed, including weekends and holidays
• 50-mile radius rule applies
• Float required

Must-Have Requirements

• 2+ years CVOR RN experience
• Recent Cardiac/Open Heart experience – REQUIRED
• Last 12 months must include at least 1 assignment
  • Preferably at an academic medical center
  • OR Level I Trauma facility in a major metropolitan area
• 2–3 years RN experience
• Previous travel experience – REQUIRED
• BLS
• Epic experience – REQUIRED
• Active Florida RN or Compact RN license included at submission
• BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, ACLS
• ACLS preferred at submission

Strongly Preferred Skills

Candidate should be able to cover:

• Cardiac/Open Heart
• Neuro
• Orthopedic trauma
• Vascular
• Trauma cases
• Scrub and circulate experience
• Comfortable with weekends and call

TNCC preferred.

Compliance

• No work-history gaps over 30 days unless documented/explained
• Resume must include:
  • Facility type
  • EMR
  • Bed count
• At least 1 professional reference from the last 12 months
• Maximum 8 RTO days for the 13-week contract
• No RTO during the first 2 weeks
• Florida ACHA processing can take up to 14 business days
• Start date must allow enough time for compliance clearance

Testing

Before/at orientation, candidate must pass:

• Basic specialty competency exam
• EKG exam
• Minimum 80% score
• Must correctly identify 100% of lethal rhythms
• Failure may require additional remedial training

Interview

• Unit Manager interview required
