Title: Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical
Location: Big Spring, TX 79720
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 3x12 or 4x12 (7:00 PM–7:00 AM); 36/48-hour alternating schedule

Requirements:

• 2 years of RN experience required
• Previous travel experience required/preferred
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and Nursys required at submission
• Active license in hand required at submission
• RTO required with submission
• Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy, ports, blood products, peripheral lines, and IV starts
• Med/Surg experience; MS/Tele and telemetry experience preferred
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response experience
• Local candidates within 110 miles are not accepted

Description:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients in a 10-bed Med/Surg unit with a 1:5 patient ratio.
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, blood products, ports, oxygen therapy, and cardiac monitoring while responding appropriately to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, PT, and rapid response teams, to ensure quality patient care.
• Every-other-weekend coverage required; no call required.
