Travel RN – Behavioral Health

Position: RN – Behavioral Health / Adult & Pediatric Psych
Shift: 12H Nights
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs/week
Contract: 13 weeks
EMR: Epic
BSN Required: No
Trauma Level: III
Setting: Acute Care

Unit Details

General Adult Unit: 14 beds
Special Care: 8 beds
Kids Unit: 14 beds
Staffed as one combined unit
Travelers may care for both adult and pediatric patients, though adults are typical
Ratio: 1:6–1:7
Every other weekend
No regular call/standby, but may occasionally be placed on call for overtime

Requirements

Active RN license; facility willing to wait
BLS (AHA) required
Behavioral health experience
Strong de-escalation skills
Must be comfortable managing up to 7 patients independently
Must handle admissions and discharges
Epic experience helpful
Must be comfortable working with both adult and pediatric behavioral-health patients
