Typical staffing – Day:

• 1 Charge RN
• 2–3 RNs
• 1 LPN
• 1–2 PCTs
• 1 Unit Secretary

Typical staffing – Night:

• 1 Charge RN
• 2–3 RNs
• 1 LPN
• 1–2 PCTs

Required Experience

Must Have:

• Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Telemetry experience

Candidates without these skills will not be considered.

Preferred:

• Charge Nurse experience

Typical Procedures

• Peripheral IV starts
• Dressing changes
• Standard medical-surgical nursing skills

Required Certification

• BLS

Floating

Travelers may float to:

• Other Medical-Surgical units
• ED holding patients who require medical/surgical care
