Description

– Sterile Processing Technician

Program: SimpliFi Travel
Position: Sterile Processing Technician
Shift: Mid Shift
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
Call: Required
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Contract: 89 weeks listed

Required Experience

Minimum 1 year experience
First-time travelers: ❌ Not accepted
Must have completed at least one 13-week travel contract

Required Certifications

Must have one of the following:

CRCST
CBSPD
IAHCSMM

Required Skills

Candidate must be able to:

Lift 20–30 lbs
Work independently
Operate STERIS sterilizers
Operate ultrasonic machines for Da Vinci robotic instruments
Assemble a variety of surgical instrument sets
Inspect, clean, sort, and wrap instruments
Handle Synthes pans/implants
Handle orthopedic instruments
Process loaner pans 3–5 days/week
Know the 100 basic instruments
Understand washer/disinfector/sterilizer functionality during set assembly
Differentiate between:
- Steam/Prevac sterilizers
- Low-temperature sterilizers
- STERRAD
- V-PRO
Be highly detail-oriented and accurate
Be familiar with count sheets

Preferred Skill

SPM (Microsystems) experience

Call Requirement

Days:

1–2 weekends per month
Never 2 weekends in a row
Saturday: 06:30 AM–06:30 PM
Sunday: 06:30 AM–2:15 PM

Nights:

1, possibly 2 full or partial weekends per month
Saturday: 06:30 PM–06:30 AM
Sunday: 2:15 PM–10:00 PM
