Medical Assistant – Family Medicine
Location: Bourne, MA
Assignment Type: Contract-to-Hire
Duration: 13 Weeks (strong potential for extension)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:30 AM-5:00 PM | 40 Hours per Week
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join a busy Family Medicine practice in Bourne, Massachusetts. The Medical Assistant will provide direct patient support and assist providers with daily clinical operations in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with patients, physicians, and clinical staff while delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring an efficient clinic workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Room patients and prepare them for examination
- Obtain and document manual vital signs
- Perform medication reconciliation and update patient records
- Maintain accurate documentation within Epic EMR
- Assist providers with patient care and clinical support duties
- Ensure a positive and professional patient experience
- Support daily clinic operations and workflow efficiency
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience
- Medical Assistant training and/or relevant clinical experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current BLS certification (required by start date)
Preferred:
- Experience using Epic EMR
- Family Medicine or outpatient clinic experience
- Reliable local commute to Bourne, MA
Assignment Details
- 13-week contract with strong likelihood of extension

Compensation
- $25.00/hour
- $1,000/week
