Job Description:

Position: MRI Technologist

Location: Staten Island, New York

Setting: Level I Trauma Center Hospital

Duration: 13 weeks

Schedule:

• 3:00pm-11:00pm
• 37.5 hours per week
• Every other weekend required

Overview:

• Perform a variety of MRI examinations in a high-volume acute care setting
• Neuro MRI studies are the most common exams performed
• Average of approximately 16 exams per shift
• Operate GE 3 Tesla and GE 1.5 Tesla MRI scanners
• Work with closed MRI systems
• Serve patients across a 700-bed hospital system spanning two campuses
• Utilize EPIC charting system
• Ensure patient safety and image quality throughout MRI procedures

• Client interview required
• Candidates typically receive a call or text shortly after being placed under review
• Interview feedback is usually very fast
• Any color scrubs permitted

• HealthStream training assigned on day one
• Two performance evaluations completed during the assignment
• Facility may cancel one shift every six weeks

Requirements:

• ARRT RT(R)(MR) certification required
• New York State Department of Health Radiologic Technologist License required
• New York State IV/Injection Certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience required
• Must meet all facility and state requirements

• Level I Trauma Center
• Approximately 700 beds across two campuses
• GE 3T and GE 1.5T MRI equipment
• EPIC EMR system
