Description

Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician
Facility Type/Setting: Acute Care
Shift & Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM + Call
Weekly Hours: 40 hours
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Call/Weekend/Holiday Requirements:

Days: 1–2 weekends/month, never 2 consecutive weekends
- Saturday: 6:30 AM–6:30 PM
- Sunday: 6:30 AM–2:15 PM
Nights: 1, possibly 2 full or partial weekends/month
- Saturday: 6:30 PM–6:30 AM
- Sunday: 2:15 PM–10:00 PM
  
  Requirements:
Minimum 1 year experience
CRCST, CBSPD, or IAHCSMM certification
No first-time travelers; must have completed at least one 13-week contract
Able to lift 20–30 lbs
Able to operate independently
Preferred: SPM (Microsystems)

Responsibilities:
Operate STERIS sterilizers and ultrasonic machines for Da Vinci robotic instruments
Assemble a variety of instrument sets
Inspect, clean, sort, and wrap instruments
Handle Synthes pans/implants, orthopedic instruments, and loaner pans
Demonstrate knowledge of 100 basic instruments
Understand washer, disinfector, and sterilizer functionality during set assembly
Differentiate between Steam/Prevac and low-temperature sterilizers (STERRAD or V-PRO)
Maintain high attention to detail and accuracy with count sheets
