Description

Responsibilities:

Provide specialized nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical or diagnostic procedures.
Monitor patients’ vital signs, oxygen saturation, cardiac rhythm, respiratory status, and level of consciousness.
Assess patients for post-anesthesia complications, including airway obstruction, respiratory distress, bleeding, and hemodynamic instability.
Manage airways, administer oxygen therapy, and provide respiratory support as needed.
Administer prescribed medications, IV fluids, and pain management treatments.
Assess and manage postoperative pain, nausea, and vomiting.
Monitor surgical sites, dressings, drains, and IV lines for complications.
Evaluate patients for readiness for discharge from the PACU or transfer to an inpatient unit.
