Retail Pharmacist (RPh) 

1. Position Details

• Position: Retail Pharmacist (RPh)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Schedule: Varied shifts, approximately 8.5 hours per shift
• Shift Window: 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Workdays: No weekends or holidays required

• Longer Shifts: Can be accommodated if desired

   

2. Job Responsibilities

The Retail Pharmacist will provide pharmacy services in a retail setting, including:

• Reviewing and dispensing prescription medications.
• Ensuring medication accuracy and patient safety.
• Counseling patients on medication usage and potential side effects.
• Reviewing prescriptions for interactions and appropriate dosing.
• Supporting daily retail pharmacy operations.
• Following applicable pharmacy regulations and facility policies.

3. Required Qualifications

• Active Ohio Pharmacist license in good standing — mandatory.
• Minimum 1 year of current retail pharmacy experience.
• Vaccination certification required at the time of submission.
• Strong pharmacy knowledge and patient communication skills.

4. Preferred Skills

• Experience with the RX30 pharmacy system is a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with retail pharmacy operations and prescription processing.

5. Submission Requirements

• Confirm the candidate has an active Ohio Pharmacist license.
• Verify at least 1 year of current retail pharmacy experience.
• Include vaccination certification with the submission.
• Disclose all requested time off (RTO) before submission.

6. Contract and Cancellation Policy

• The facility may cancel up to 36 hours during the 13-week contract.
• These cancellations are not limited to 12-hour shifts and will be recorded on the facility time report.
• The agency contract must match the confirmation page exactly for:
  • Start date
  • End date
  • Requested time off

7. Submission Restrictions

• Duplicate submissions are not accepted.
• Only one submission per traveler, per agency, per specialty is permitted.
• Travelers cannot be submitted to multiple jobs within the same specialty under the stated facility rules.
