Position: RN – Telemetry
Location: Merced, CA
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 12 hour days | 36 hrs/week

Pay Package (36 hrs): 
Total Weekly Gross: $2485/week 
Non-Taxable Stipend: $1267/week 
Taxable (W2): 
Regular: $29/hr × 24 hrs = $696
Overtime: $43.50/hr × 12 hrs = $522

Requirements:

• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Experience: Prior high-acuity telemetry, stepdown, or PCU experience required.
• Stroke experience: Must be stroke-certified and have experience caring for stroke patients.
• EMR: Cerner preferred.
• Weekend requirement: 2 weekends every 4 weeks.
• Holidays: As needed; one major and two minor holidays, following core staff requirements.
• Radius rule: Must live at least 50 miles from the facility.
• Scheduling: Block scheduling and fixed/set schedules are not accommodated.
• Floating: Required; travelers float first to Medical-Surgical Telemetry floors 5, 6, and 7.

• Patient ratio: 1:4
• Charting: Cerner
• Scrubs: Navy
• Clinical skills: Must independently read and interpret telemetry strips.
• Patient population: Stroke/CVA, CHF, respiratory failure, diabetes, hypertension, post-op patients, and selected post-cardiac cath/PCI patients.
• Additional expectations: Nurses may need to provide primary nursing care without a nurse aide. No call requirement.
