RN – Labor & Delivery | Napa, CA

Location: Napa, California
Start Date: November 9, 2026
Contract Length: 26 Weeks
Shift: Days | 3×12 Hours | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Hours: 36 Hours/Week

👩‍⚕️ Your Role

• Provide comprehensive labor and delivery nursing care.
• Assist with vaginal and high-risk deliveries.
• Circulate for C-sections and provide post-operative recovery care.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and recognize abnormal patterns.
• Administer medications, including Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate.
• Provide neonatal resuscitation and newborn care.
• Support postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and patient education.
• Perform sterile vaginal examinations — mandatory requirement.

✅ Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license; pending licenses are not accepted.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience listed in the job requirements.
• Epic charting experience required.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications.
• Labor & Delivery experience and competency in sterile vaginal examinations.
• Experience with fetal monitoring, delivery assistance, C-section circulation, and postpartum care.

⭐ Preferred Qualifications

• AWHONN Advanced certification.
• Experience with amnioinfusion, C-section scrubbing, and advanced obstetric procedures.
• Experienced travelers preferred; first-time travelers may be considered.

📋 Important Contract Requirements

• Potential on-call shifts depending on census.
• Floating required to Postpartum.
• Weekend coverage required.
• Up to one pre-approved time-off request.
• No more than 7 days of requested time off, per the job overview.
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required under current facility guidelines.
• Winter bill-rate period: October 4, 2026 – February 27, 2027.
