Description
1. Mandatory job requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience.
- Cardiac experience: Required; candidates must have cardiac nursing experience.
- Education/experience alternative: Must meet the posting's requirement of an accredited degree or 5 years of experience. Because the wording is ambiguous about which degree and experience qualify, confirm the exact criteria with the recruiter.
- EMR: Epic experience.
- Clinical interview: Must complete the HWL interview and receive an offer.
- Floating: Required. Travelers are first to float and may be assigned to other units or sister campuses.
- Radius rule: Must comply with the 50-mile radius rule based on permanent address.
- Teamwork: Must be willing to function as an integrated member of the unit, similar to core staff.
2. Required certifications
All three are mandatory:
- BLS — Basic Life Support
- ACLS — Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
- NIHSS — National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale
Ensure all certifications are current and valid for submission and the assignment.
