Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech – Cath Lab

Location: Fullerton, California
Job Title: Travel Interventional Radiology Tech (Cath Lab Tech)
Start Date: November 17, 2026
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Pay Rate: $74/hour
Estimated Weekly Gross Pay: $2,960/week
Shift: Day Shift | 4×10 hours
Schedule: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
Travel Experience: Not required

Key Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and the clinical team with interventional radiology procedures.
• Prepare the procedure room, equipment, instruments, and supplies before procedures.
• Operate and assist with specialized imaging equipment according to facility protocols and professional scope of practice.
• Maintain sterile technique and follow infection prevention and patient safety standards.
• Assist with patient preparation, positioning, monitoring, and procedural support as required.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other Cath Lab and radiology team members.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and established clinical protocols.
• Ensure equipment and procedural supplies are properly prepared and available.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with facility policies.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience.
• Cath Lab experience or the ability to work effectively in a Cath Lab setting.
• Appropriate active professional credentials and California state credentials for the assigned role.
• Ability to work the required schedule, weekends as needed, and designated holidays.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient-care skills.

Certifications and Credentials

• ACLS
• BLS
• ARRT or CCI RCIS
• ARRT(R)
• California Radiologic Technologist credential, as applicable
• CCI RCIS

Important Scheduling Requirements

• Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered.
• Weekend shifts may occur more frequently than every other weekend, depending on unit needs.
• Candidates must be available to work 3 out of 5 major holidays.
• No previous travel experience is required.
