Description
SHIFT: 7AM-3:30P (Monday-Friday)
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
One of the following registrations is required
- Adult Echocardiography (AE) RDCS by ARDMS
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by CCI
- Vascular Sonography (VS) by ARRT
- AHA BLS required
- CANDIDATES MUST HAVE-neonatal/neonatology echocardiography experience
Education/Skills:
Graduate of an accredited echocardiogram, cardiovascular sonography, or equivalent program required
Weekend Requirement: Weekend call every 3-4 weeks depending on staffing
On Call Requirement: One week of call every 3-4 weeks depending on staffing
Floating Requirement / Locations: No floating this department supports OR, inpatient, outpatient, and cath lab
Nurse / Patient Ratio: 5-8 cases per day, average is 5 scans per day
Summary:
The Echocardiogram Technician performs diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures to support the evaluation and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. Operating under general guidance, this role applies specialized clinical knowledge and independent judgment to produce highquality echocardiographic images. The technician collaborates with cardiologists and clinical teams to ensure accurate and timely diagnostic support.

- 1 - 3 years of echocardiography experience.
