Registered Nurse – ICU

Location: Kingwood, WV
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: November 2, 2026
Shift: Night Shift, 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours per Week
 

Job Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing to adult and geriatric patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
• Monitor and manage critically ill patients requiring ventilator support and advanced respiratory care.
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, continuous IV sedation, and emergency medications.
• Manage ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and airway suctioning.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to emergencies.
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, arterial lines, and other vascular access devices.
• Assist with chest tube insertion and removal, blood product administration, and procedural sedation.
• Provide care for patients with acute stroke, renal failure, and multisystem organ dysfunction.
• Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and implement appropriate interventions.
• Follow infection prevention, isolation precautions, and patient safety protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, effective critical care.
• Float to other units as required by facility needs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience preferred based on the facility's job overview.
• At least 1 year of RN experience listed in the job requirements.
• Experience with ventilators, telemetry, and conscious/procedural sedation required.
• BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS/NIH certification required.
• CCRN certification preferred.
• Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips, respiratory support, and critically ill patients.
• Previous travel nursing experience is not required.
• EMR: CPSI.
