Registered Nurse – Infusion

Location: Beckley, WV
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: November 11, 2026
Shift: Day Shift, 5x8 Hours (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours per Week

Job Responsibilities

• Provide infusion nursing care to adult and geriatric oncology patients.
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, IV hydration, and other prescribed infusion treatments.
• Access and manage implanted ports, central lines, and PICC lines.
• Start and maintain IVs, manage infusion pumps, and perform central line blood draws.
• Monitor patients during chemotherapy and other infusion treatments for adverse reactions.
• Administer IV push, continuous infusion, and oral chemotherapy as authorized and required.
• Follow cytotoxic medication handling, disposal, and spill management protocols.
• Recognize and communicate abnormal laboratory results to the appropriate care team.
• Administer blood products and provide patient monitoring as required.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, side effects, and supportive care.
• Maintain radiation safety and follow established infection prevention protocols.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification preferred.
• Infusion center experience preferred.
• Inpatient and outpatient oncology experience preferred.
• First-time travelers are accepted.
• Cerner charting experience required.
• Active or pending West Virginia RN license accepted at submission; confirm active licensure requirements before starting.
• Candidate must have a permanent address more than 100 miles from the facility. Local candidates are not accepted.
• Candidates must have a clean nursing license; previous suspensions are not accepted. Probationary cases may be reviewed individually.
• Flu vaccination is required unless a qualifying medical exemption is documented.
• Former permanent employees must wait 3 years after their last day of permanent employment before returning as travelers.
