Description
Job Title: Medical Lab Technologist (MLT)
Facility Type/Setting: Hospital – Clinical Laboratory, Chemistry
Facility/Location: Cambridge, MA
Shift & Schedule: Nights, 11:15 PM–7:15 AM, 5×8-hour shifts
Weekly Hours: 40
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Call/Weekend/Holiday Requirements: Weekend work required; holidays as needed. On-call coverage responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology (BS MT) required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the matching specialty.
- MT or MLS certification through ASCP, or equivalent NCA, AMT, or HEW registration, highly preferred at time of hire.
- AHA BLS required.
- Two recent manager references.
- Current resume demonstrating relevant experience.
- Must be local to the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and report chemistry and diagnostic immunology laboratory tests accurately and promptly.
- Perform quality control and proficiency testing.
- Troubleshoot basic laboratory instrument issues.
- Receive and process specimens and enter data using Meditech.
- Support new testing methods, workflow improvement, quality audits, and staff training.
