Overview

• Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights, 12 hours
• Hours per week: 48

Unit

• 8NE (8 North East) is a 24-bed step-down unit with a 3:1 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• The unit serves a medical/surgical/trauma population in a Level 1 trauma center.
• All 24 beds are monitored; RN basic EKG interpretation is needed, while techs read the strips.
• The unit uses Bipap, Cpap, and vents for chronic or non-weaning patients.

Required Qualifications

• BLS
• Ability to have strong assessment skills and be adaptable to a fast-paced work environment
• RNs are required to titrate drips
• Unexpired driver’s license must be included with submission

Preferred

Schedule and Work Expectations

• Week nights and weekends
• Every other weekend depending on staffing
• Holiday rotation
• No call
• Floating is rotational with other staff members on the unit

Submission Notes

• Can only submit to 1 position at a time across the entire WVU system
• Driver’s license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility
• Previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years
• Previous travelers who were there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years
• Travel teams must be submitted together in 1 email
• Up to 2 candidates per opening may be submitted
