Description

Dietitian will be stationed at the food and nutrition services department but will provide nutrition and dietetic services for other units at the hospital such as the medical unit, surgical/pediatric unit, progressive care unit, OB unit, intensive care unit, long term care unit, and psychiatric unit. One day a month, Dietitian will be providing services at Ka'u Hospital and Hilo Hospital which is a long term care facility

Computer charting and menus

Required skills and minimum years of experience.

Skills Required - Nutrition Assessment for pediatric to geriatric patients, Medical Nutrition Therapy for acute care, long term care, and critical care, Ability to estimate nutrition needs such as caloric, protein, and fluid needs, Nutrition Support (Parenteral/Enteral Nutrition), Nutrition Education, Food Service Management, Ability to chart in electronic medical records, ability to develop and update nutrition care plans, Minimum Data Sets

Requirements:

Registered Dietician by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
Hawaii Dietitian License is required
AHA BLS
2 years of experience is required
Minimum one year experience of clinical nutrition experience
