Description:
Responsible for the pre and post operative/procedure care for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with a variety of health care needs and disease processes. Care includes technical skills, equipment, assessment, pre and post education and discharge in a fast paced environment. Minimum of one year experience in pre and post op diagnostic cath lab preferred. This position is represented by CNA.
Requirements:
Outpatient Surgery Unit, Pre-Op RN, Variable Shift, 3 12's, start time 0500, 0700 or 0800. Monday-Friday Variable Days - 6 week schedules so will know ahead of time, ACLS, PALS, 2 years in Pre op/Perioperative (Not OR), NO call required
Education and Work Experience:
- Associate Degree(A.S.) or equivalent: Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing: Preferred
- Completion of a basic cardiac arrhythmia class with passing score: Required
- Minimum 6 months experience in medical surgical nursing in last 2 years: Preferred
- Minimum of one year experience in pre and post op diagnostic cath lab: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
- Current RN license in state of practice: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS)?certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
- Advanced Cardiovascular?Life Support (ACLS)?certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)?certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice: Required
Facility Specific License/Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS: Required
AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS: Required
