Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Night Shift

Location: Elk City, Oklahoma
Weekly Pay: $1,849.48
Shift: Nights, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Contract Duration: Up to 91 days

Job Summary

We are seeking a versatile Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide respiratory care in a rural hospital setting. The therapist will support adult ICU and medical-surgical patients, assist with C-sections and high-risk deliveries, and provide respiratory treatments using ventilators, BiPAP, Vapotherm, and other standard respiratory therapy equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to adult ICU and medical-surgical patients.
• Manage and monitor patients requiring mechanical ventilation and BiPAP therapy.
• Provide respiratory support using Vapotherm and other basic respiratory therapy equipment.
• Attend C-sections and high-risk deliveries to provide respiratory support as needed.
• Assess patients’ respiratory status and deliver appropriate treatments.
• Monitor patient response to respiratory interventions and communicate changes to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
• Adapt to the needs of a rural hospital environment and provide coverage across assigned areas.
• Maintain accurate documentation of respiratory assessments and treatments.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Comfortable providing respiratory care in an adult ICU and medical-surgical setting.
• Experience with BiPAP, mechanical ventilators, Vapotherm, and basic respiratory therapy.
• Ability to support C-sections and high-risk deliveries.
• Versatility and flexibility to work in a small hospital with limited respiratory therapy staffing.

Work Schedule

• Night shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM.
• Two respiratory therapists staff each shift and divide hospital coverage.
