Additional Unit Specific Information: Emergency Department with 10-14 bed capacity. Staffing includes 3-4 RNs per shift and an ED tech 24/7. Charge nurse assigned 24/7. Manager/supervisor on-call on off hours. One MD scheduled 24 hours. Mid-level (PA or NP) scheduled 0930-2130. STEMI, Stroke and Trauma transported to higher level of care and may require an RN for transport. Facility does not have interventional radiology or cath lab. Porter provides general surgery services. Pediatric patients needing higher level of care are usually transported. Our ED utilizes Telemedicine and Telestroke consultations through UVMMC.
