Location: San Jose, California
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Job Description
Good Samaritan Hospital is seeking experienced Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide high-quality maternal care in a busy labor and delivery unit. Candidates should be skilled in managing labor, supporting deliveries, and assisting with C-sections and other L&D operating room procedures.
Responsibilities
- Monitor maternal and fetal conditions throughout labor and delivery.
- Provide nursing care during labor, vaginal deliveries, and C-sections.
- Assist with L&D operating room procedures as required.
- Assess patients, administer medications, and monitor responses to treatment.
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation using Meditech/CPN.
- Follow California Title 22 regulations and hospital policies.
- Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered care.
Requirements
- Minimum 4+ years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
- Active California RN license required.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Strong clinical assessment and labor management skills.
- Ability to work rotating weekends based on the collective bargaining agreement (CBA).
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Resume required at submission.
