Occupational Therapist - Rehab Hospital Contract
Location: Rehab Hospital
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Weekdays
Hours: 40 hours/week
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist for a contract assignment at a rehabilitation hospital. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a rehab setting and be passionate about helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life.
Requirements
- Current Occupational Therapist license
- BLS Certification
- Minimum one year of experience in a rehabilitation hospital setting preferred
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans
- Assist patients in improving motor skills, daily living activities, and functional independence
- Help patients adapt to physical, developmental, emotional, or cognitive limitations
- Recommend and train patients on adaptive equipment and assistive devices
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to achieve patient goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
- Integrate the hospital's mission and guiding principles into daily practice
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of clinical operations and rehabilitation procedures
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively with pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
- Strong computer proficiency, including EMR documentation
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold quality and safety standards
