An immediate 13-week travel contract opening is available for an experienced Cardiovascular Technologist (Cath Lab Tech / CV Tech) in Mount Vernon, Washington (Skagit County / Pacific Northwest). Operating within an advanced acute interventional cardiology suite, this high-compensating allied healthcare position features a 4x10 daytime schedule (07:30 AM – 18:00 PM / 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM, 40 hours guaranteed weekly). The interventional cardiology team handles emergency STEMI activations, diagnostic catheterizations, complex percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), and peripheral vascular cases. Weekly Gross: $3,427.00
Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,267.00
Hourly W2 Rate: $54.00/hr (40 regular hours)
Overtime Rate: $81.00/hr

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

Schedule: Day shifts, 4x10-Hours (07:30 AM – 18:00 PM / 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM; must be available to stay late as needed to finish cases).
Guaranteed Hours: 40 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks.
Weekend Coverage: Every 3rd weekend rotation.
On-Call Requirements: Departmental on-call rotation required for emergent procedures and off-hours STEMI coverage ($4.00/hr call rate).
Floating Scope: NO FLOATING REQUIRED!
Department Setting: Cardiac Catheterization & Interventional Radiology/Cardiology Labs (Unit: CV Tech).
Clinical Scope & Procedures:
- Emergency STEMI activations, diagnostic left and right heart catheterizations, PCI (coronary stenting, balloon angioplasty, atherectomy).
- Structural heart cases, temporary transvenous pacemakers, and permanent pacemaker/ICD implants.
- Peripheral vascular angiograms and interventions.
- Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) and mechanical circulatory support (Impella) monitoring.
- Radiation safety protocols, hemodynamic waveform monitoring, sterile table setup, and vascular access sheath management.
EMR System: Epic.

- CCI Certification: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) OR Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) OR ARRT Certification (CI/VI/R).
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
