Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR)
Location: Rochester, NY
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: November 2, 2026
Shift: Day shift, 4x10 hours (11:00 AM – 9:30 PM)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room RN experience.
• Previous travel nursing experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• Epic charting experience preferred.
• Teaching hospital experience preferred.
• First-time travelers are not accepted.
• New York license required; pending licenses are not accepted.
• Local candidates within 75 miles are not accepted.
• Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement.
• Teal scrubs required.

Clinical Skills and Experience

• General OR, orthopedic surgery, total joint replacement, and trauma.
• Neurological procedures, including craniotomy, spinal fusion, and laminectomy/discectomy.
• Vascular and cardiovascular procedures, including aortic aneurysm repair, carotid endarterectomy, and endovascular aneurysm repair.
• General surgery, including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, thyroidectomy, and Whipple procedures.
• Gynecological procedures, including hysterectomy, D&C, and laparoscopic procedures.
• Urological procedures, including cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, and TURP.
• Thoracic procedures, including thoracotomy, lung resection, and VATS.
• ENT procedures, including tonsillectomy, tracheostomy, and sinus procedures.
• Plastic and reconstructive surgery, including mastectomy with TRAM flap reconstruction and microvascular free flap procedures.
• Bariatric procedures, including gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, and Lap-Band.
• Endoscopic procedures, including bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, and PEG tube placement/exchange.
• Robotic surgery experience with the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System.
