Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
• Must be able to work independently as the primary L&D nurse on night shifts.
• Postpartum and Level I Newborn Nursery experience preferred.
• Must hold the required RN license to practice in Kentucky.
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler.
• Must be willing to float to other units during high-volume periods or when L&D census is low.

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• STABLE

All required certifications must be current before starting.

• Patient Ratio: Per AWHONN staffing standards
• EHR: Meditech and Centricity
• Patient Population: Obstetric, gynecological, and newborn patients
• Weekend Requirement: 24 hours every other weekend/as needed
• Call Requirement: Rotating call during low census
• Scrubs: Any professional scrub color
• Supervisor: Melissa Cull
