Position Details

Role: Radiation Therapist
Facility: CHI Health Good Samaritan
Location: 10 E 31st St, Kearney, NE 68847
Contract Duration: 13 weeks (with possible extension)
Shift: (4x8) Day shift (M-Th)
hours: 32 hours per week

General Requirements

Charting System: EPIC
EMR/Software: Mosaiq and EPIC
Trauma Level: Not specified
Average Patient Volume: Approximately 10 patients per day
Floating: Not required
Supervisor: Dana Welsh

Required Qualifications

Successful completion of a JRCERT-accredited Radiation Therapy program.
ARRT (T) certification required.
Valid driver's license required at the time of submission. It will be used to verify compliance with the 50-mile radius rule.
Proficiency in administering radiation therapy, performing CT simulations, and working directly with patients.
Strong communication and patient-care skills.
Varian TrueBeam experience preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Administer radiation treatments to patients according to treatment plans and established protocols.
Perform CT simulations.
Operate radiation therapy equipment and assist with treatment procedures.
Ensure patient safety and provide appropriate support throughout treatment.
Communicate effectively with patients and the multidisciplinary care team.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Days: Monday–Friday
Hours: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Weekends: Not required
Holidays: Not required
