Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Ambulatory OR

Shift: Day Shift, 5×8 hours
Schedule: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Contract: 13 Weeks
Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Description

Seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a fast-paced, multispecialty outpatient surgery center. The CST will assist with surgical procedures, maintain a sterile environment, follow aseptic techniques, and ensure sharps safety. Cataract surgery experience is highly preferred.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• CST certification.
• Ambulatory OR experience.
• Proficiency in sharps safety and aseptic technique.
• Cataract extraction and implant experience highly preferred.
• First-time travelers accepted.

Preferred Clinical Skills

• Cataract extraction and implant procedures.
• Arthroscopy and ACL reconstruction.
• Bunionectomy and metatarsal surgery.
• Carpal tunnel release.
• Closed/open fracture reduction.
• Dilation and curettage (D&C).
• Laminectomy and discectomy.
• Familiarity with the ORA machine.

Facility Details

• Outpatient multispecialty surgery center.
• 3 operating rooms.
• 8 beds.
• Approximately 20 patients per day.
• Floating not required.
• No weekend shifts listed.
• Block scheduling not permitted.

Submission & Compliance

• Valid state license or certification required at submission, as applicable.
• Submit SSN, DOB, valid references, and certification copies.
• RTO must be provided at submission; no later RTO requests accepted.
• Provide 3–5 days of interview availability.
• Complete required labs within 48 hours of signing.
• Pennsylvania fingerprints must be completed within one week of signing, with receipt provided.
• Valid Pennsylvania ChildLine and fingerprint results from within 12 months of the start date are required.
• Flu vaccination required; medical/religious exemptions permitted.
• COVID-19 vaccination not required.
