Description
Inpatient Pharmacist | Watauga Medical Center, NC
Shift: Days, 4x10s (schedule may vary; no later than 9 PM)
Schedule: Weekdays, Monday–Friday
Experience: 1 year preferred in pharmacist-to-dose protocols
Requirements: PharmD degree, valid North Carolina pharmacist license, and recent Epic experience.
Responsibilities: Verify medication orders, check allergies and drug interactions, perform medication reconciliation, manage pharmacist-to-dose protocols, consult with healthcare teams, and verify IV admixtures per USP 797/800 guidelines.
Additional Details: 24/7 hospital pharmacy. Floating within the hospital may be required. Candidates must live at least 40 miles from the facility. RTO must be included at submission. Two professional references required. Background disclosures and Nursys report required. Former staff must be away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler.
