- Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate of Science in Nursing
Description
Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent ED RN experience
- Active RN license/compact eligibility, BLS, ACLS, PALS and NIHSS required at submission
- TNCC preferred
- Recent electronic charting experience required; Epic preferred
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced ED across all acuity levels
- Strong assessment, triage, prioritization, communication and teamwork skills
Schedule and Patient Care
- Patients: Pediatric, adult and geriatric patients with medical, surgical, cardiac, respiratory, behavioral health and trauma presentations
- Skills: High-acuity care, cardiac emergencies, stroke, sepsis, respiratory failure, trauma and pediatric emergencies; IV starts, medication administration, cardiac monitoring and emergency response
- Floating: None
- Call: One 12-hour call shift every other week
- Weekends: Every 3rd or 4th weekend
- Holidays: One fall/winter holiday
- Scrubs: Black
