Description
Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Facility Type/Setting: Elementary School – High-Needs Autism (Aut) Classroom Facility/Location: Not specified
Shift & Schedule: Traditional K–12 school
Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Completion of 40 hours of training overseen by a BCBA, BCaBA, or BCBA-D
- Successful completion of the RBT Competency Assessment
- Passing score on the RBT exam
- Compliance with the RBT Ethics Code
- Ongoing supervision by a BCBA or BCaBA
Responsibilities: Implement individualized behavioral interventions and skill-acquisition programs, collect session data, support behavior reduction and de-escalation plans, assist with assessments and progress reporting, and complete required documentation and billing. Collaborate with the supervising BCBA/BCaBA, special education teacher, paraprofessionals, substitute staff, another RBT, and interdisciplinary team members.
Classroom Details: 15 students; behavior management and interventions required.
