Location: Gold Beach, Oregon
Pay Package: $2,387/week
Shift: 8-hour day shifts
Schedule: Primarily Monday–Friday, with variable weekend on-call coverage
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Curry Health Network is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to support its new Oncology Center in Gold Beach, Oregon. The selected candidate will assist with oncology pharmacy operations, including the preparation and handling of hazardous medications in compliance with USP 800 standards. The Pharmacy Technician will work closely with pharmacists and the oncology care team to support safe and effective chemotherapy and oncology treatment workflows.

Responsibilities

• Support daily oncology pharmacy operations and medication preparation.
• Prepare and handle hazardous medications in compliance with USP 800 standards.
• Assist with chemotherapy compounding and other hazardous drug preparation.
• Follow medication safety, handling, storage, and infection control procedures.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and the oncology care team to support patient treatment.
• Maintain accurate medication preparation records and documentation.
• Use pharmacy information systems, electronic health records, and compounding software as required.
• Provide support for oncology infusion center workflows.
• Work independently in a rural healthcare setting.
• Participate in variable weekend on-call coverage as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Active Pharmacy Technician license; candidates without a license in hand may still be considered.
• Recent hospital or clinical pharmacy experience.
• Experience with USP 800 hazardous drug handling and compounding.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with the pharmacy and oncology teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital-based oncology pharmacy experience.
• Experience compounding chemotherapy and other hazardous medications.
• Experience in an oncology infusion center.
• Familiarity with pharmacy information systems, EHRs, and compounding software.
• Experience supporting chemotherapy treatment workflows.
