Description
POSITION: RRT- ADULT
REQUIRED LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS

• License: Active New Jersey license required
• Required Certifications: ACLS; BLS; PALS; RRT (CRT not accepted)
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & CLINICAL SKILLS
=====================================
• Experience Required: 1.5 yrs strong overall ICU experience
• Work Settings: Adult Critical Care; Emergency Department (PICU/NICU experience highly preferred)
• Care of Patient With: ARDS; Aspiration; COVID; Cystic fibrosis; Pneumonia
• Vent Management: BiPAP; CPAP; Flow-by; High-frequency jet ventilator/oscillator; IMV; SIMV; Troubleshoot high-pressure alarms; Wean from mechanical ventilation
• Airway Management: Extubation; Intubation assist; Nasal/oral airway placement and suctioning; Sputum specimen collection; Suctioning (ETT, NT); Tracheostomy care/management
• General Skills: Bronchoscopy; Draw/interpret ABGs; ET tube; HFNC; Hand-held/heated nebulizer; T-piece/trach collar; iNO
• Neonatal/Pediatrics: CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BIPAP; High-frequency jet ventilator; Oscillating ventilator
SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING

• Charting: Epic required
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Must work 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays, if needed
• Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes

RWJUH New Brunswick’s Pulmonary and Critical Care Program provides adult pulmonary and critical care services, including a tertiary-referral medical ICU for complex, multisystem, life-threatening illness, advanced bronchoscopic technology and multidisciplinary care involving thoracic surgery, cardiac services, and other specialties. RWJUH is 700+ bed adult hospital and a state-designated Level I Trauma Center, one of only three in New Jersey, and an Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center.
