Job Title: Respiratory Therapist – Night Shift
Region: Critical Illness and Rehab
 

Job Description:
 

The Respiratory Therapist provides specialized respiratory care to patients, evaluates respiratory conditions, recommends treatment plans, and administers physician-prescribed therapies. Responsibilities include operating and monitoring invasive and non-invasive ventilators, administering oxygen and aerosol therapies, performing suctioning and chest physiotherapy, and monitoring oxygen saturation and capnography.
 

Additional duties include reviewing chest X-rays, performing 12-lead EKGs and basic arrhythmia recognition, conducting pulmonary function studies, assisting with bronchoscopy and tracheostomy procedures, managing chest drainage devices, performing arterial punctures, and assisting with endotracheal intubation. The therapist also performs CPR according to BLS/ACLS guidelines, maintains respiratory equipment, documents patient assessments and treatment responses, communicates with physicians and care teams, and ensures accurate respiratory therapy records and charging.
 

Required Qualifications:

• Current state licensure required.
• Active CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state equivalent.
• BLS certification required before the first shift.
• ACLS certification required before the first shift.
• Minimum 2 years of bedside clinical experience.

Important Notes:

• Contract assignment for 13 weeks.
• Night shift with a 7-on / 7-off rotation.
• Early November start.
• Candidates must meet all licensing, credentialing, and certification requirements.
