Respiratory Therapist – Night Shift
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patients and develop appropriate respiratory treatment plans.
• Operate and monitor invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation equipment.
• Administer oxygen, aerosol, nebulizer, and other prescribed respiratory treatments.
• Perform airway suctioning, chest physiotherapy, tracheostomy care, and endotracheal intubation as authorized.
• Monitor oxygen saturation, capnography, pulmonary function, and other respiratory parameters.
• Perform arterial punctures, 12-lead EKGs, and basic arrhythmia recognition.
• Assist with bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomy, chest tube placement, and other respiratory procedures.
• Perform CPR according to BLS and ACLS guidelines.
• Document treatments, patient assessments, responses, and respiratory therapy charges accurately.
• Communicate patient status and treatment effectiveness to physicians and other healthcare team members.
• Provide patient and family education and participate in shift handoffs.
• Follow clinical protocols, equipment safety procedures, and applicable regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Current state respiratory therapy license.
• Active CRT or RRT credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• BLS certification required before the first shift.
• ACLS certification required before the first shift.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of bedside clinical experience.
